Category A1 Rules For Motorcyclists
The rules for category a1 are applicable to those who want to ride small motorcycles. They have capacity of cylinders up to 35 kW. They cannot be built from vehicles that have more than twice their power.

A1

A2 allows you to fly transitional drones, which are not yet CE-marked, but they have been modified to lessen collision risk with humans. It is only possible to fly these drones in A2 until the end of 2022, after which they'll have to be in compliance with A3 rules.
The A1 and A2 categories will allow you to become a safe and confident motorcyclist. The number of lessons required depends on your level of ability and progress in learning, but you must complete a specific amount of special rides. A3

Like the Open category this tier is subdivided into subcategories A1,A2 and A3. The A1 subcategory allows flights that involve people who are not involved and is only reserved for drones with an identification label for Class C0 or C1. It requires the requirement of a minimum distance of 30 meters from any third party when flying at an altitude of flight or 5 metres in slow flight mode.
Drones bearing the Class Identification Label C2 may be operated under subcategory A2 when they meet the requirements of size, and the remote pilot has passed a theoretical knowledge test. This test is designed to assess the remote pilot's understanding of the technical and operational mitigations that address the added risks associated with flying slightly larger drones (class C2, weighing less than 4kg mass) close to people. The successful completion of this test results in the award of an 'attestation of competence to fly category A2'.
There are 'transitional arrangements' that allow legacy drones, that are not certified, to be operated under the categories A1 or A2 for a period of two years following the implementation of the new EU regulations. Legacy drones are not permitted to be flown over the heads of people and must be operated with an A2 CofC.

In this category, drones sporting the class identification labels C0 and C1 are permitted to fly within a distance of 50 metres of people who are not involved. This is a relatively low-risk category, but strict precautions should be taken to prevent accidents.
